Food Delivery for Food Bank Funds
On April 12, 2026 (about a year after our big ice storm where the island lost power for 4+ days), the community of Washburn Island came together and delivered 188 hot meals (pulled pork sandwiches courtesy of Joe Laxton doing the sandwiches and his wife Deb’s coleslaw), mac & cheese, cookies and sweet treats, raising exactly $4,000 for the Little Britain Community Food Bank.
