Volunteer-driven Island wide cleanup during Earth Week that removed over 700 pounds of garbage from our ditches, open spaces and public spaces.

The community of Washburn Island came together and delivered 188 hot meals, raising exactly $4,000 for the Little Britain Community Food Bank. Huge thanks to our volunteer drivers, cooks and food prep crews!

A street party like none other for the spookiest night of the year. Residents of Rosie’s Road came together to not only ensure everyone had a great & spooky time, but raise donations for the food bank!

The Washburn Island Pumpkin Carving Contest brought out incredible creativity from kids and teens across the community. Dozens of entries were submitted, and neighbours voted online to choose winners in each age group, along with prizes for the funniest and scariest designs.

Washburn Island’s Inaugural BBQ held on August 23, 2025 which brought roughly 200 people together to enjoy free burgers, hot dogs, drinks and games!

During the 4th day of a brutal ice storm, the community came together to deliver 120 hot meals to those in need, and raised $2,000 for the local food bank.
