Washburn Island’s Inaugural BBQ

The first-ever Washburn Island BBQ was held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 and was a huge success — a great day of food, fun, and neighbours reconnecting. Volunteers fired up the grills and served around 225 meals, including hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, and hot dogs. With perfect weather and a lively crowd, it was another reminder of how special this little community is when everyone comes together.
